GAL COSTA - "- FA - TAL - " (GAL - A TODO O VAPOR) - Recorded alive at the Tereza Rachel Theater, Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, from the historical Show & happening on Summer of November 1971. - Brazilian Tropicália Freak Psychedelic Hippie Record.
The album title "- FA - TAL - " (A TODO VAPOR) was extracted from the poem "-FA-TAL-", in the book "Me Segura Que Eu Vou Dar Um Troço", by Waly Sailormoon (Salomão). He also has directed the Show.

The Summer of 71 was one of the most crazy summers of Brazilian history! On Ipanema beach, there were a place called "Pier" or "Dunas do Barato" (or still "Dunas da Gal" - a homage to Gal Costa). It was a space for freedom where the outsiders, dropouts, trip outs, freaks and hippies met to smoke marijuana, took a LSD trip and to stand up and applause the sunset. The music "Vapor Barato" was the hymn of those beautiful people. The title of the song refers to the marijuana's smoke.
Take a look at the rich Art cover created by the underground masters
Luciano Figueiredo and Oscar Ramos!!

“Vapor Barato”, that became a countercultural anthem is an acoustic shuffle ballad in the style of Janis Joplin.
This song portraits a hippie dropout wearing “red jeans, a general’s military coat and lots of rings”,
who is leaving his “honey baby to embark on a personal quest of self-discovery".
An ESSENTIAL listening!!

A SUNNY TROPICAL(IA) LYSERGIC ALBUM!!
A Happening — A true shout and shot of that time!!!
The Crazy summer in London was the 1968 - On Brazil it happended on 1971!

"I WANT TO SEE THE SUNLIGHT ONCE AGAIN..."!
"QUERO VER DE NOVO A LUZ DO SOL..."!
"I WANT TO SEE THE SUNLIGHT ONCE AGAIN"!
"QUERO VER DE NOVO A LUZ DO SOL..."
...SOL SOON SUN...
It was the most memorable and Legendary Gal Costa's Live Performance!
The Summer of 1971 changed behavior and minds!!
The influences of the voice of Gal Costa mixes the João Gilberto's bossa and Janis Joplin and Hendrix styles. This show also presents the unknown Luiz Melodia as songwritter with the classic "Pérola Negra" (Black Pearl).
Killer fuzzy wha-wha guitar tracks by Lanny and Pepeu Gomes!
Jazz-Rock Brazilian Bossa with Hendrix/Cream-like arrangements from
Jazz-Rock Power Trio conducted by Lanny Gordin.
Songs written by Macalé, Morais e Galvão, Caetano Veloso, Luiz Melodia, Carlos Pinto, Jorge Ben, Roberto Carlos, Erasmo Carlos, Luiz Gonzaga, among others.
This double LP is a historical mark of Brazilian Music Recording Label:
It was the first 2-record set of authorial music produced and released by Brazilian phonographic industry.
(before of this, double albums were released only for soccer commemorative release purposes. It happened on 1962 and 1966, per example).
